Anna Wang is the founder and chairman of the Special Needs Talent Showcase. She is also one of 10 co-founders of Friends of Children with Special Needs (FCSN), a non-profit organization whose mission is to help children with special needs and their families find hope, love, respect, and support through integrated community involvement. Anna is also currently the Vice-President of Programs and Community Relations.
When Anna's son, Lawrence, was diagnose with autism over 25 years ago, there were few resources available for him. Since its founding, FCSN support over 1000 multi-ethnic families with special needs. Anna is instrumental in projects providing housing, advocacy, training, employment, and recreation. Through the programs offered at FCSN, many individuals discovered their talents and developed their ability to their full potential. Anna felt that talents and abilities that go unnoticed is an injustice to our special needs individuals. This fuels her passion to develop the platform, Special Needs Talent Showcase, for our special needs performing artists to shine and reach for the stars. |
